ork, SC – York School District One is proud to announce that York Comprehensive High School Athletic Director Travis Miller has earned the prestigious designation of Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA).
The Certified Athletic Administrator designation recognizes athletic administrators who have demonstrated the highest level of knowledge, professionalism, and expertise in the field of interscholastic athletic administration.
To earn this national certification, Miller successfully completed the NIAAA’s voluntary certification process, which includes a comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s educational background, professional experience, and contributions to the profession, as well as successfully passing a rigorous written examination.
Miller joins an elite group of athletic administrators across the nation who have achieved this distinguished credential, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and continuous professional growth.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
