Construction on Tega Cay’s Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 is nearing completion, and the city has begun introducing wastewater into the upgraded facility to re-establish the biological treatment process, according to the City of Tega Cay.
The city called the step an important milestone before the plant returns to full operation. Over the next week, operators will closely monitor the startup process and make final adjustments as the system becomes fully established, the city said.
Once Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 is back online, crews will begin the next phase of improvements at Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 3, according to the city.
