The district is using October to thank its school principals for their leadership and daily support of students and staff.
York School District One is marking National Principals Month in October by recognizing the principals who lead its schools, according to the district.
The district described principals as more than administrators, calling them mentors, problem-solvers, encouragers and advocates who support students, staff and families, according to York School District One.
The district said it is inviting the YSD1 community to join in thanking principals throughout October for their leadership and daily impact on schools.
