LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Keith Edward Armstrong Sr., age 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Piedmont Medical Center. He is now reunited with his son, Edward. He was born August 14, 1947, in Livingston, TN, a son of the late George Armstrong and the late Mary Warren Armstrong and was the husband of Wanda Gleaton Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong proudly served in the United States Army. He attended The University of Alaska in Anchorage, Alaska. He retired from the United States Postal Service, he worked at the Lancaster County Post Office. Mr. Armstrong enjoyed camping and watching hummingbirds. He loved spending time with his family and his fur baby, Angus.
Mr. Armstrong is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wanda Armstrong; his daughter, Amber Armstrong Oberg (John) of Austin, TX; his son, Caleb Armstrong (Kameshia); his nine grandchildren, Blaze, Tyce, Aiden, Ma’Kenzie, Logan, and Liam Armstrong, and Ellie, Van, and Charlie Oberg; his two sisters, Marilene Boulton (Phil) and Georgette McAteer (Dean); and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his son, Keith Edward Armstrong, Jr.; and his parents, George and Mary Armstrong.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Armstrong will be 3:00 pm Saturday, September 3, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Larry Helm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
