Mr. William “Bill” A. Cowley, Jr. age 85, of York, SC, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, September 4th, 2026, at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Highway, York, SC 29745. A funeral service will be on Saturday September 5th, 2026 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Rock Hill, 481 Hood Center Dr, Rock Hill, SC 29730 officiated by Rev. Kevin Deyerle. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens starting at 1:00 PM with Masonic Rites by Alpine Masonic Lodge #208, Clover, South Carolina
Bill was born on May 25, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of the late William A. Cowley, Sr. and Hazel Karberg Cowley and the widower of Laura McFalls Cowley.
Bill was the corporate controller for Buckeye Fire Equipment Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC and a member of the York Camp Gideons International. He was also a member of Alpine Masonic Lodge #208 Clover, South Carolina
Bill is survived by his brothers, Paul E. Cowley and David A. Cowley (Janet): and his step daughter Ann Moss (Scott).
