(Rock Hill, SC) York Preparatory Academy, a National Blue Ribbon Award-winning public charter school
located in Rock Hill, is excited to announce Zach Stahl, as the new YPA Athletic Director.
A native of Wheeling, West Virginia, Stahl has been in education for the past eight years as a Special Education teacher here at York Preparatory Academy. Previous to YPA, he was an integral part in operating and coaching a successful high school hockey program in Wheeling, WV. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field, emphasizing leadership, teamwork, accountability, and character. His background in education and athletics has prepared him to lead York Prep Academy’s athletic program.
“York Prep is excited to have Coach Stahl as our new Athletic Director,” said Managing Director Brian Myrup. “His passion for athletics and student success combined with his experience as a program builder is exactly what our school needs to help our teams take the next step. We look forward to growing, building, and promoting our athletes and coaches. There are a lot of great things to come.”
Stahl said, “I am incredibly excited for this new opportunity and grateful to serve as the next Athletic Director at York Prep Academy. I’m honored to be part of a school with such a strong community and tradition. I look forward to working alongside our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and families as we continue to build on the great foundation already in place. YPA is a special place and I’m eager to get started”
Zach Stahl graduated with his undergraduate degree from West Liberty University and got his master’s degree in administration at USC Columbia.
