Monika White filed on Friday, July 10, to run for South Carolina Senate District 15, entering the special election to fill the York County seat held by Republican Sen. Wes Climer.
White announced the filing in a social media post, describing the run as a special election alert and urging supporters to check their voter registration, review early voting windows and mark the primary date. She asked residents to consult a campaign flyer for registration and voting information and said she looked forward to earning voters’ support.
Filing for the seat opened at noon on July 10 and closes at noon on Saturday, July 18, according to the South Carolina Election Commission.
