Congressional candidate Mallory Dittmer will host a Democracy For All Town Hall tonight at the Freedom Center in Rock Hill, SC to call attention to the detrimental impact of the proposed Congressional redistricting South Carolina voters and candidates.
“It is unconscionable to subject the people of South Carolina to the upheaval and chaos of redistricting mere weeks out from primary elections,” DIttmer said. “This plan, aimed entirely at diluting the strength of Democratic voters in an already heavily gerrymandered state, seeks to further harm minority voters, divide communities that deserve representation, and cause widespread confusion and apathy across the state. I urge our state legislators to vote NO on redistricting and vote instead to honor the highest ideals of our democracy!”
