York County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Alleged Theft at Field Day Park

The York County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged theft of money from Field Day Park in Lake Wylie, the agency announced Thursday, and is asking the public for help identifying potential victims or witnesses.

The investigation covers a period spanning more than five years, from October 2020 through March 2026. The park is located at 1101 Field Day Lane.

Investigators are seeking to identify anyone who made cash payments to Field Day Park during that window for field rentals, community center or pavilion rentals, sponsorships, pickleball classes, or fees paid as a food truck vendor.
The investigation is limited to those specific cash transactions. It does not cover cash purchases made at vending machines or the concession stand, nor does it extend to cash transactions made directly with food truck vendors.

Anyone who believes they may have made a qualifying payment, or who has relevant information, is asked to contact Detective Tim Brochin at [email protected].

Field Day Park remains open and is continuing normal operations while the investigation is underway.
