Elva “Sister” Lane, 91, Lancaster, SC

Mrs. Elva G. “Sister” Lane, 91, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026 at White Oak Manor – Lancaster.

She was born June 13, 1934 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Archie Franklin Gardner and Serena Hammond Gardner.

Mrs. Lane was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She loved reading her Bible and word search books. Mrs. Lane always looked forward to getting out and going places, and spending time with her family and friends.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lane will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. TJ Roberts officiating. Burial will be private for the family.Mrs. Lane is survived by a son, Ronnie Gardner (Elaine) of Blythewood; a daughter, Crystal Boyd (Randy) of Lancaster; a sister, Joanne McCain (David) of Lancaster; one granddaughter, Hailey Gardner (Daniel O’Cain); many nieces and nephews; and her church family and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Gardner.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026 at Lancaster Funeral Home.
