YORK, S.C. — A 46-year-old woman was killed Saturday afternoon in a collision between her motorcycle and a tractor trailer on U.S. Highway 321 in York County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of US-321. Authorities said the woman was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it crossed the center line and struck an oncoming truck.
Officials confirmed the woman was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. She was transported to Piedmont Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
