Rick Jenkins, 69, passed away at his home April 13, 2025. He was born April 6, 1956, the son of the late Roy Earl and Doris White Jenkins. He was also predeceased by his brother Martin L. Jenkins and sister Kelly A. Jenkins. He is survived by his brother Terry E. Jenkins of Fairview, TX and aunt, Dale Freeze of York, SC.
Rick also left behind a loving group of friends from his apartment complex. More than friends, they had become his family. He will be greatly missed by them and many others.
Rick loved God, and worshipped at Clover Freewill Baptist Church. He was a “Gentle Giant”, and although he was a double amputee, he was a servant to many and should serve as an example to all of us.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 25 at 3:00pm in the community room at Hunter Bay Apartments, 69 Hunter Street, York.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching.
