Komar Industries Relocating to York County, Creating 160 Jobs

YORK COUNTY, SC – Komar Industries, a leading company in recycling and waste management technology, has announced plans to relocate to York County, bringing 160 new jobs to the area.

The company is making an $11.5 million investment to set up operations in South Carolina. Currently based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Komar Industries will move into an existing facility at 200 Ratchford Road in York.

Company officials say the relocation will help expand manufacturing capabilities for waste and recycling compactor technology. Komar specializes in balers, stationary compactors, and self-contained compactors, which are used to manage and process waste efficiently.

The new facility is expected to begin operations by July 2025. Those interested in job opportunities with Komar Industries can visit the company’s careers page for more information.
