A person was killed early Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Interstate 77 in Rock Hill.
South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said the incident occurred around 4 a.m. in the northbound lanes near the Dave Lyle Boulevard exit. A pedestrian was attempting to cross the interstate when they were hit by a BMW SUV.
The driver and three passengers in the vehicle were unharmed.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
