FORT MILL – The anticipation is palpable as the Town of Fort Mill unveils its thrilling roster of events for the 15th Anniversary celebration of the South Carolina Strawberry Festival. From Friday, April 12, the festivities will kick off, culminating in the grand festival day on Saturday, May 4.
This year promises an exceptional showcase of events, featuring beloved favorites such as the annual Strawberry Pageants, Strawberry Soiree, Strawberry Jam, Strawberry Sprint & Stroll 5K, Strawberry Scavenger Hunt, Strawberry Festival Brunch, Strawberry Festival Golf Tournament, and the traditional Strawberry Festival Day in Walter Elisha Park.
Here’s a glimpse into what’s in store:
- Little Miss Strawberry Pageant: The enchanting event is set to take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 12, at Nation Ford High School.
- Teen, Miss, Ms. Strawberry Pageant: Prepare for an evening of glamour and talent on Saturday, April 13, at 7 p.m., also at Nation Ford High School.
- Strawberry Soiree: Hosted by the Fort Mill History Museum, the third annual fundraising gala will enchant guests on Saturday, April 20, from 6 to 10 p.m. Featuring a Strawberry Festival Poster Exhibit, music, delectable cuisine, a silent auction, and more, this promises to be an unforgettable affair.
- Strawberry Jam: Downtown Fort Mill will come alive on Friday, April 26, from 5-9 p.m., courtesy of Fort Mill Economic Partners. Main Street will transform into a vibrant hub of live music, enticing vendors, delectable food trucks, and more.
- Strawberry Sprint and Stroll 5K and Fun Run: On Saturday, April 27, the energy will be palpable as the 5K race commences at a.m. on Main Street, followed by the 1-mile fun run. The Runner’s Village will offer a delightful array of merchants, food trucks, and a kids zone.
- Strawberry Scavenger Hunt: Embark on a thrilling hunt through Downtown Fort Mill on Saturday, April 27, hosted by the Fort Mill History Museum, with exciting prizes up for grabs.
- Strawberry Festival Brunch: Indulge in a delectable strawberry-themed brunch on Sunday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Anne Springs Close Greenway’s Gateway Canteen.
- Strawberry Festival Golf Tournament: Swing into action at the Springfield Golf Club on Tuesday, April 30, for the annual captain’s choice golf tournament, teeing off at 9:30 a.m.
- South Carolina Strawberry Festival: Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 4, as the 15th anniversary festival returns to Walter Elisha Park and the Town’s Amphitheater.
