Calling all local makers, growers, and artisans! Tega Cay is excited to announce the launch of the Lakeside Saturday Market, starting March 16th, 2024. Held every Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the Tega Cay Tavern (2150 Gold Hill Rd), this market aims to celebrate the bounty of our community and support local vendors.
The market is seeking applications from vendors offering:
- Handmade crafts and artwork
- Homegrown produce and flowers
- Locally-made food products
- And more!
If you’re passionate about creating, cultivating, or crafting unique items, we encourage you to apply. Submitting an application does not guarantee a spot, so be sure to get yours in early!

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
