A 27-year-old motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in York County, according to Queen City News.
The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. on Catawba Church Road near Springdale Road. Authorities said the rider was traveling southbound on a 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when the vehicle left the left side of the road and crashed into a ditch.
The motorcyclist, identified as Bailey Griffin of Rock Hill, died at the scene, according to the York County Coroner’s Office.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no other injuries were reported. South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash.
