Local Athletes Qualify for SCHSL 5A Division 2 Track and Field State Championships

High school athletes from across York and Lancaster Counties delivered standout performances at the SCHSL 5A Division II State Championship qualifiers held on May 10. Competitors from Fort Mill, Nation Ford, Catawba Ridge, Indian Land, and Northwestern High Schools earned their places in the State Championship meet, scheduled for May 15 at Spring Valley High School in Columbia.

Fort Mill High School

Fort Mill had a strong showing, qualifying athletes in multiple middle and long-distance events, along with field and relay events.

The SCHSL 5A State Championships will be held at Spring Valley High School on May 15. Local athletes will look to bring home state titles and continue their strong track and field tradition.
