Rock Hill Homicide Under Investigation; Suspect Arrested

Rock Hill, SC – York County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a homicide that occurred late Wednesday night in the 600 block of Porter Road in Rock Hill. The incident, reported just before 11:30 p.m., marks the second homicide in York County this year.

Following an initial investigation, deputies arrested 23-year-old Ja’Quaireous Ny’Solomon Mobley. He has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. The investigation revealed that Mobley allegedly shot a family member multiple times.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, pending notification of all next of kin by the York County Coroner’s Office. No other individuals were reported injured during the incident.

The York County Sheriff’s Office has stated that the case remains under active investigation.
