Over 400 York County Republicans gathered on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Rawlinson Road Middle School in Rock Hill for the county’s biennial GOP convention. The event featured a contested vote for party leadership and the selection of delegates for the upcoming South Carolina Republican Party State Convention.
Among the attendees was U.S. Congressman Ralph Norman (SC-5), who joined local conservatives in shaping the county’s political future. The convention resulted in the election of Scott Anderson as County Chair and Caitlyn Boyle as Vice Chair. Other leadership positions filled included Andy Krouse as Second Vice Chair, Larry Barnett as Third Vice Chair, Tim Steele as Executive Committeeman, and Caleb Standafer as Treasurer.
Delegates chosen at the convention will represent York County at the South Carolina Republican State Convention on May 3 in Columbia. There, they will participate in electing the state party chair and executive committee representatives.
