President Donald Trump has officially endorsed U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) for re-election in 2026, calling him a “wonderful friend” and praising his work in the Senate. The endorsement was posted Tuesday evening on Trump’s Truth Social account.
In the post, Trump highlighted Graham’s role as Chair of the Senate Budget Committee and credited him with working to grow the economy, lower taxes, and eliminate government waste. Trump also emphasized Graham’s stance on border security, military support, energy policy, and the Second Amendment.
“Senator Lindsey Graham has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election — HE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN,” Trump wrote. “Everyone in South Carolina should help Lindsey have a BIG WIN next year!”
Graham responded to the endorsement in a statement on X, formerly Twitter, saying, “President Trump’s endorsement means the world to me. I am humbled by his faith in me as a Senator and as a friend.”

Graham reflected on his long-standing relationship with Trump, both professionally and personally, noting his support for Trump’s political rise and their shared time off the Senate floor.
“On a professional level, I am proud to have been there at the beginning when President Trump — through sheer force of will — achieved the greatest political comeback in American history,” Graham wrote. “On a personal level, I genuinely enjoy our friendship. He’s an awesome golfing buddy, who I have yet to beat.”
Graham also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Trump’s policy agenda in the Senate, stating, “I look forward to being one of the driving forces in the U.S. Senate to enact President Trump’s agenda to make America more prosperous and more secure.”
Senator Graham has served in the U.S. Senate since 2003. His term is set to end in January 2027, with the next Senate election in South Carolina scheduled for November 2026.
