Scott Carlton Bowers, 42, of York, SC, passed away on February 13, 2025.
A memorial service to celebrate Scotty’s life will be hosted by McConnells First Baptist Church (4189 Chester Hwy, McConnells, SC 29726) at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
Scotty was born on April 3, 1982, in Charlotte, NC, to Teresa Beckham Hinson and the late Robert Carlton Bowers.
In addition to his mother, Teresa Hinson (Russell), Scotty is survived by his wife, Nichole Danielle Kaplan-Bowers, and his children: Zoey Bowers, Zachary Grissom, Corey Fountain, Bryson Bowers, Nevaeh McGuinness, Aidan McGuinness, and Jo Schmidt. He also leaves behind his brother, Chris Brown; sister-in-law, Joanne Brown (Alan Moss); step brother, Josh Hinson (Reba) and their children, Memphis and Etta; his step sister, Ashley Hinson; his nephews Alan Brown III (Kacey), AJ Brown, and Kailo Brown; his niece Morgan Brown; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Scotty was preceded in death by his father, Robert Carlton Bowers, and his brother, James Alan Brown Jr. (“Big Al”).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Scotty’s children’s education at PO Box 340, York, SC 29745.
