York Athletes Named to South Carolina All State Track and Field Teams

York High School track and field athletes were named to the 2026 South Carolina All State teams, an honor MileSplit South Carolina announced in July based on the results of the spring outdoor season.

The selections cover the boys and girls programs across the full event schedule, from the 100 meter dash to the pole vault. MileSplit organized the honors into four merit tiers, First Team, Second Team, Third Team and Honorable Mention, along with separate teams recognizing the top performers in each grade, from All Freshman to All Senior.

In all, 16 individual York athletes were honored, counting each athlete once even when they made multiple teams or events. That total does not include the girls 4×100, 4×400 and 4×800 relay squads, which were also recognized as teams. No York boys relay squad made an All State team this season.

York’s honors leaned heavily on the throwing events, with Levi Ward and Anna Sizemore each sweeping First Team or Second Team spots in the discus and shot put, and freshmen Samira Gwinn and Tiana Darby giving the girls program young talent to develop for 2027.
