Three York County Men Arrested on Child Exploitation Charges Following CyberTip Report

YORK, S.C. — Three York County men face a total of 15 charges related to the alleged sexual exploitation of minors after authorities received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s CyberTipline. The arrests of Christian Jean Magro Jr., Didier Christopher Lopez, and Grover Lester Denton Jr. mark the latest efforts in a coordinated investigation into child exploitation in the region.

Grover Lester Denton Jr. and Didier Christopher Lopez were both apprehended on Oct. 29. Denton, who was already out on bond from similar charges filed in 2022, faces five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Lopez was charged with two counts of second-degree and three counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Investigators allege that Denton possessed child sexual abuse material, while Lopez and Magro were found to have both possessed and distributed similar files.

Christian Jean Magro Jr. was arrested a day earlier, on Oct. 28, and faces one count of second-degree and four counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The cases will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, which continues to work closely with law enforcement to combat the spread of child exploitation materials.
