York County Deputy Named DRE of the Year for Second Time

YORK COUNTY, SC — A York County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been honored as Drug Recognition Expert of the Year for the second time by Mothers Against Drunk Driving of South Carolina for his work combating impaired driving.

Lance Corporal Christopher Anderson received the Rick Moore Drug Recognition Expert of the Year award, recognizing his expertise and dedication in identifying and apprehending drug impaired drivers. Anderson previously received the same award in 2024.

“We are proud of this accomplishment, which is another example of our commitment to protecting the county by keeping impaired drivers off the roads,” said Sheriff Tony Breeden. “This also serves as a testament to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism at the YCSO.”
