Standout Performers

Fort Mill

The Yellow Jackets shone across every discipline. Senior Mia Williams was arguably the meet’s most complete performer, sweeping the girls’ 200m dash (24.79), long jump (5.57m), and triple jump (11.73m). Junior Kaelynn Fleming completed a hurdles double, winning both the 100m hurdles (17.44) and the 400m hurdles (1:07.62). Distance runners Owen Ware and Finn Leckrone went 1-2 in the boys’ 1600m at 4:24.93 and 4:25.57, respectively — a dominant one-two punch for Fort Mill’s cross country core. Junior Jordan Walter swept the 110m hurdles (15.80) while also finishing second in the triple jump (11.71m) and long jump (5.32m). In the throws, sophomore Addison Feinour won both the girls’ javelin (30.35m) and discus (34.07m). Senior Kate Marker took the girls’ shot put at 10.24m.

On the boys’ track, senior Jahzir Mccants was a versatile threat, running 11.30 in the 100m (2nd) and 49.84 in the 400m (3rd). Senior Connor Demmerle cruised to a convincing win in the boys’ 800m at 1:56.50. Hudson Haley edged out a close win in the boys’ 3200m (10:02.52), and Fort Mill’s relays were on fire — winning the boys’ 4×100 (43.11), boys’ 4×400 (3:25.77), and girls’ 4×100 (50.45, uncontested).

Catawba Ridge

The Copperheads had several individual standouts headlining their home meet. Senior Isabella Cardozo was exceptional in the distance events, winning the girls’ 1600m in 5:07.38 and finishing second in the 800m (2:23.31). Sophomore Morgan Hodge won the girls’ 100m dash at 13.03 and took third in the 200m (26.20). Eva Argo cleared 1.50m to win the girls’ high jump. Sophomore Michael Stinson was dominant in the boys’ discus, launching a meet-best 48.31m. Junior Alaina Kilpatrick grabbed second in the girls’ 400m hurdles (1:09.35), and freshman Lincoln Smith impressed with a 4:32.15 in the boys’ 1600m (3rd) and a runner-up 10:03.24 in the 3200m. In the boys’ 800m, sophomore William Kowalski (1:59.14) and senior Jack Sivil (2:01.24) went 2-3 behind Demmerle.

Indian Land

The Warriors finished second in the boys’ team standings and third in the girls’, with several athletes turning in individual wins. Sophomore Ryan Foster was the boys’ sprint standout of the meet, taking the 400m (48.30), 200m (22.14), and finishing second in the 100m (11.59) — one of the more complete sprint performances of the day. Senior Jaylen Royster added a win in the boys’ 100m (11.06), and sophomore Tavian Daniels was a consistent force, placing second in both the 100m (11.40) and 200m (22.19) while also winning the 400m (48.34) in a different heat. Caitlin Lindo swept the girls’ 400m (58.76), and the Warriors’ girls’ 4×400 relay team took the win at 4:10.16. On the field, Sequel Patterson cleared 2.05m to win the boys’ high jump, and Kenneth Wilson III led all jumpers with a 6.72m long jump.

Westminster Catawba Christian

Westminster Catawba Christian brought a small but competitive contingent to the meet, finishing fourth in both team standings. Freshman Haley Krasinski was the standout for the Warriors, placing third in the girls’ 400m (1:03.02) and fifth in the girls’ 800m (2:33.84), showing promise as a young middle-distance runner. On the boys’ side, freshman Caleb Satterwhite ran a solid 4:49.24 in the 1600m (7th) and followed it up with a 10:44.87 in the 3200m (5th), demonstrating strong distance potential for the future.
