The 53rd Annual Trojan Relays: York County Shines at SC’s Longest-Running Track Meet

On March 14th, track and field athletes from across the region gathered at Northwestern High 
School for the 53rd Annual Trojan Relays. Founded over half a century ago by Bob Jenkins, the 
Trojan Relays hold the prestigious title of being the longest-running track meet in South Carolina.

This year’s event was a spectacular showcase of local talent, with York County high schools dominating the leaderboards. On the boys’ side, Northwestern claimed the overall team victory with 83.5 points, followed closely by Rock Hill in second (68.5 points) and Fort Mill in third (64 points). In the girls’ division, Fort Mill led the local pack with an impressive second-place overall finish (80.5 points), while Nation Ford, Northwestern, and South Pointe all secured spots within the top six.
