Ronald “Owen” Boelter, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed peacefully in February 2026 surrounded by love.
He was known for his kindness, gentle humor, and his deep love for the Lord. He lived a life marked by faithfulness, compassion, and a servant’s heart toward everyone he met. Whether through a warm smile, a word of encouragement, or a quiet moment of prayer, he consistently pointed others toward hope.
A retired Navy veteran and pastor, he devoted his life to serving both his country and his faith. He was a man who believed deeply in commitment and covenant, a conviction beautifully evident in his 58-year marriage — a testament to steadfast love, loyalty, and devotion. He loved his family dearly, enjoyed time on the golf course, and cherished every opportunity to share the love of the Lord with others through both his words and his actions. His steady presence and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a man of prayer and quiet strength. If he had one message for those he leaves behind, it would be to know the Lord personally and walk closely with Him each day. That was the testimony of his life and the legacy he leaves.
He is survived by his loving family who will continue to carry his legacy forward.
He proudly served in the United States Navy and loved his country deeply, and he will be buried at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, S.C.
His race was run with faith to the finish.“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
His greatest desire was that all would come to know the Lord deeply and personally — not just in word, but in a true and living relationship.
