Service Members and Veterans Get Exclusive Free Streaming of the Winter Games

As the world turns its eyes toward the snowy peaks of Italy for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, the U.S. military community has been granted a “front-row seat” to the action—completely free of charge.

Through a long-standing partnership between the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) and NBCUniversal, active-duty service members, honorably discharged veterans, and their families can stream the entirety of the Games without a paid subscription.

What’s Included in the Coverage?

From February 6 through February 22, eligible viewers can access over 2,500 hours of Olympic content. This includes:

  • Live Competitions: Every event from the 116 medal categories.

  • Exclusive Content: Live streams of practice sessions and warm-ups.

  • On-Demand Extras: Event recaps, highlights, viral moments, and athlete interviews.

  • Military Interest: Specialized coverage of the many service members and veterans competing on Team USA in events like the biathlon, bobsled, and skeleton.

How to Access the Free Stream

To take advantage of this benefit, you must have a verified account through ShopMyExchange.com. Here is the step-by-step process to get started:

  1. Verify Eligibility: Ensure you have an active account at ShopMyExchange.com. This site serves as the authentication portal for all military branches.

  2. Visit the Platform: Go to NBCOlympics.com on your computer or download the NBC Sports App on your mobile device.

  3. Choose Your Provider: When prompted to sign in to a service provider, scroll through the list and select “Exchange” (or “Army & Air Force Exchange Service”).

  4. Log In: Enter your ShopMyExchange credentials to unlock the full streaming catalog.

A “Quality-of-Life Multiplier”

Exchange Director/CEO Tom Shull described the initiative as a “quality-of-life multiplier,” intended to keep the military community connected to home, regardless of where they are stationed.

For those serving overseas (OCONUS), the service is generally available on-installation through authorized internet providers. This ensures that even those in remote locations or on deployments can cheer on their fellow soldiers and airmen competing in Italy.
