YORK, S.C. — The York Comprehensive High School wrestling team turned in a commanding performance at the Region 3-4A tournament, securing four individual titles and punching tickets for 11 grapplers to the upcoming Upper State Qualifier.
The Cougars displayed depth across the roster, with athletes placing in nearly every weight class.
Region Champions
Leading the charge were four Cougars who claimed the top of the podium in their respective weight classes. The Region 3-4A Champions are:

Strong Finishes
In addition to the champions, York saw five wrestlers battle their way to the finals, finishing as tournament Runners-Up:

Rounding out the qualifiers, Nathan Stametz secured a strong 3rd place finish, while Donnie Houston took 4th place.
Moving On
Every wrestler listed successfully qualified to extend their season. The team now shifts its focus to training for the Upper State Qualifier, where they will compete for a chance to wrestle at the State Championship.
