Mrs. Ruth Ann McCarter Helms, age 79, of Clover, SC, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026 at her home.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Bethany A R P Church cemetery, 1454 Hwy 161 North, Clover, SC officiated by Rev./Dr. Benjamin Glaser. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside. Ruth was born on August 29, 1947, in Quincy, Il. She was the daughter of the late Scott Johnson McCarter and Ruby Rosalie Hastings McCarter.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Edward Helms; her children; Michael Andrew Belk, and Amber Moss, her grandchildren; Lena Belk, Madison Belk, Cherish Parker, Neigel Moss, and Autumn Moss and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Jane Briggs (Larry), Mary Jo Jones (Carter), Jean Nelson (Ronnie), Russell McCarter (Sharon), Eric McCarter, and Linda McCarter Norris.
