- Thomas Lamar and Andrew Gregory led the Eagles in the first round as each posted a 3-under 69 and are T14
- Lamar overcame a 2-over start in the first three holes and turned things around as he birdied 4-of-5 holes and finished 5-under on the final 13 holes
- Gregory birdied three of his final four holes of the round to finish at 3-under
- Cole Rouse posted the third best round of the day by an Eagle at 2-over
- Winthrop as a team finished tied for 4th among the field in Par 4 scoring at 1-under
- Eagles also tied for the fourth most birdies in the opening round (17)
- Lamar is tied for the lead among the field in Par 3 scoring at 1-under
- Rouse, Gregory and Mason Kucia are a shot behind Lamar in Par 3 scoring at even
- Gregory leads the Eagles and is tied for second among the field in Par 4 scoring (-3)
