Harrison Brimmer Named Assistant Principal of York Middle School

Mr. Harrison Brimmer will take on the role of Principal at York Middle School, effective July 1, 2026.
Brimmer brings more than 10 years of educational and leadership experience to the role. Most recently, he served as a physical education teacher and teacher leader with Rock Hill Schools, where he supported school improvement initiatives, student discipline, school safety, and staff development.

A graduate of The Citadel, Brimmer also holds a Master of Science degree from Winthrop University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina. Prior to his career in education, he served in the United States Army, where he gained extensive leadership and crisis management experience.

“Harrison is a servant leader who understands that strong relationships, high expectations, and a relentless focus on students are the foundation of a great school,” said Superintendent Heath Branham. “His leadership experience, commitment to people, and heart for serving others will make him a tremendous asset to York Middle School and York School District One.”

As Assistant Principal, Brimmer will partner with students, staff, and families to help create an environment where every child is seen, heard, and belongs.
