Rock Hill Man Killed In Saturday Night Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist died Saturday evening following a crash on Albright Road near Midvale Avenue in Rock Hill, according to Rock Hill Police.

The crash happened just before 8 p.m. on June 27 and involved a 2019 Toyota Camry and a 2020 Suzuki motorcycle, police said. Officers who arrived on the scene found the motorcyclist lying in the road with serious injuries. Paramedics arrived a short time later and pronounced the rider dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as Jayden Ford, 27, of Rock Hill.

The York County Coroner’s Office responded to the intersection of Albright Road and Rockdale Street Saturday evening to investigate the fatality. The coroner’s office confirmed Ford’s identity and listed his date of birth as January 30, 1999. Ford was the driver of the motorcycle involved in the crash.

Pathology and toxicology results are pending. The crash remains under investigation by the Rock Hill Police Department and the York County Coroner’s Office.
