(Rock Hill, SC) York Preparatory Academy, a National Blue Ribbon Award-winning public charter school located in Rock Hill, is excited to announce the hiring of Coach Tay Robinson, as the new Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach.
A native of Greenwood, SC, Coach brings 10 years of high school basketball experience, including time at Greenwood High School, Myers Park High School and Clover High School. He also brings 5 years of coaching experience on the Adidas 3SSB circuit with Upward Stars Southeast, where he worked and developed high level talent.
Coach Robinson is known for his culture driven approach. His vision for York Prep Academy Basketball is to build a hard working, “team first” program where nothing is given and everything is earned.
“I am truly honored and grateful to accept the Head Basketball Coach position at York Preparatory Academy. This opportunity means a great deal to me, and I’m thankful for the trust and belief the administration has placed in me to lead this program,” said Coach Tay Robinson. “My goal is to build a culture centered around accountability, discipline, relationships and togetherness while helping develop young men both on and off the court. I’m excited to build meaningful relationships with our student athletes, families, faculty and the entire York Prep community as we work together to build something special.”
