Wilson for Governor Bus Tour Stops in Fort Mill on June 4

Attorney General Alan Wilson will campaign in Fort Mill on Wednesday, June 4, bringing his bid for the Republican nomination for governor to Wally Buchanan’s Field at 256 Baxter Lane.

The rally runs from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is part of a statewide bus tour in the final stretch before the June 9 Republican primary. The event is open to the public, and organizers say no RSVP is needed to attend.

The Fort Mill stop gives York County voters a chance to see one of the leading contenders in a crowded Republican field just five days before they head to the polls. Wilson, the state’s chief prosecutor since 2010, is running alongside state Sen. Mike Reichenbach of Florence, his choice for lieutenant governor.

Wilson is one of several Republicans seeking the nomination. The field also includes Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette, U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman, U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace, Rom Reddy, and state Sen. Josh Kimbrell.
