Mr. Clay Bryant will take on the role of Assistant Principal at Harold C. Johnson Elementary School, effective July 1, 2026.
Mr. Bryant brings a strong background in student support and school operations to the role. He has served as Assistant Principal at York Middle School since 2024 and previously worked as a School Psychologist within the district, supporting students and families across all grade levels.
In addition to his school leadership experience, Bryant also serves as an adjunct professor at Lander University.
A graduate of Winthrop University, Bryant holds both a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and a Specialist degree in School Psychology. His experience in MTSS, student wellness, instructional support, and community engagement reflects a commitment to creating positive learning environments where all students can succeed.
“Mr. Bryant brings a unique combination of leadership, compassion, and student-centered experience to Harold C. Johnson Elementary School,” said Superintendent Heath Branham. “Clay leads with heart, values relationships, and believes every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and connected. While York Middle School will certainly miss him, I am excited for the impact he will have at Harold C. Johnson Elementary School.”
