Carter Blankinship of Fort Mill recognized on Georgia Southern University’s Fall 2025 Dean’s List

STATESBORO, GA (01/27/2026)– Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 4,400 students on the Fall 2025 Dean’s List. Carter Blankinship of Fort Mill (29708) has been named to the list for excellence in academics. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Thomas Hyslip

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
