SHARON, S.C. — A 32-year-old York County man died in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol according to the Queen City News.
The accident occurred at approximately 3:39 a.m. on Hord Road, southwest of the city of York. Authorities say a 2010 Ford SUV was traveling eastbound when it veered off the road, struck a ditch, and overturned.
The driver, identified by the York County Coroner’s Office as Samuel Thomasson Jr., was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
