This past weekend, 170 women from 10 congregations of the Fort Mill Region of The Church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints united for a two- day women’s conference themed “He Lives: Bringing the Savior into Our
Hearts & Homes.” The event focused on service, spiritual growth and community connection.
Friday evening was dedicated to giving back to the community through four local nonprofit organizations.
In total:
- 20,000 individual products were donated, and 1,800 period packs assembled for Girl Flow
- 350+ care bags packed and labeled for Preemies of the Carolinas
- 20 hand crocheted hand warmers were started for Caring Hospice
- One full dinner prepared for Children’s Attention Home.
These efforts represent a collective spirit of compassion and commitment to serving those in need.
Saturday’s key note speaker, Katie Hughes- a wife, mother, author, business owner, and global advocate for women and young women, shared a powerful message on “Preparing Our Hearts and Homes for the
Savior.” Her address emphasized: gathering and creating a refuge in our homes, teaching true doctrine and bearing witness, listening to and acting on spiritual promptings, and cleaving to sacred covenants. She reminded
those in attendance to be the “Certain Women” described in Luke 8:1-3 and Luke 24:22-23.
The conference provided attendees with renewed purpose, deeper faith, and tools to invite Christ more fully into their lives and families. For more information about the Fort Mill Region congregations and
