The Fort Mill High School golf program is gearing up for its biggest fundraiser of the year — the 7th Annual Yellow Jacket Classic — set for Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the beautiful Tega Cay Golf Club. With a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start, this lively four-person Captain’s Choice tournament promises a full day of fun, prizes, and purpose.
Open to golfers of all skill levels, the Yellow Jacket Classic is more than just a competition. It’s a vital event that supports both the boys’ and girls’ golf teams, helping fund travel to tournaments and purchase essential equipment throughout the season. Registration is $500 per team (or $125 per player), which includes green fees, cart fees, range balls, lunch, and non-alcoholic drinks. Participants will also have the chance to win prizes for top teams, closest to the pin, longest drive, and longest putt — and enjoy a raffle and silent auction.
But the event isn’t just for players. Community members and businesses can get involved through several sponsorship tiers — from a $100 Bronze Sponsorship to the $5,000 Tournament Title Sponsorship, which includes multiple signs, two teams, top billing on scoreboards, and logo placement on official t-shirts and social media. Donations for swag bags, the silent auction, or raffle prizes are also welcome and greatly appreciated.
