The Lancaster County School District is excited to announce our partnership with the Cook Center for Human Connection, which has generously provided a digital library called ParentGuidance.org. This 24/7 FREE online resource offers parents, educators, and the community resources for student mental health. Our entire community will have access to licensed therapists delivering different courses on topics like Anxiety & Depression, Behavior, Coping with Grief & Loss, Self Help, Parent Support, and more. Each topic contains several mini-courses that can be completed when it’s most convenient for you. You’ll also find answers to your most urgent questions in the Ask a Therapist tab where top clinicians answer over 150 tough parenting questions with video responses and a transcript.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
