FORT MILL, S.C. — Silfab Solar, North America’s leading photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturer, has named Mike Boggs as Chief People Officer as the company prepares to launch its new solar cell manufacturing facility in Fort Mill this April.
In his new role, Boggs will oversee human resources, talent development, employee health and safety, and HR strategies across Silfab’s expanding manufacturing and corporate operations. His leadership will be pivotal as Silfab enters a transformational year, expanding its domestic solar cell production alongside its existing module manufacturing.
Boggs brings over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, human resources, finance, and industrial engineering, primarily in the automotive and tire industries. He has held key leadership roles at Michelin and Ford Motor Company, where he played a crucial role in the startup of greenfield and brownfield manufacturing facilities.
Before joining Silfab Solar, Boggs served as Senior Director of HR Strategy at Ford, overseeing HR initiatives for Greenfield EV and Battery Sites and Michigan Vehicle Assembly Sites.
