FORT MILL, S.C. — It was a banner day for Catawba Ridge High School as families, coaches, and teammates gathered to celebrate the FMSD Athletics 2025 Fall Signing Day. Five standout Copperheads officially put pen to paper, committing to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
For student-athletes, Signing Day represents the culmination of years of hard work. While many high school athletic careers end at graduation, these five students have earned the distinct honor of competing at the next level. The event marked not only a celebration of their past achievements on the field and in the classroom but also the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
“Families get the chance to celebrate not only what their athletes have achieved, but also the promise of what lies ahead in college,” the district noted in a statement regarding the event.
Here are the Catawba Ridge student-athletes who signed their National Letters of Intent:
Baseball
Bryce Meil – Wofford College

Bryce Meil will be staying in-state to play Division I baseball. He has signed with the Wofford College Terriers in Spartanburg, SC. Meil looks to bring his talent from the Copperhead diamond to the Southern Conference.
Softball
Two Catawba Ridge softball players cemented their future plans at Division I programs within South Carolina:
- Jaidyn Harris – Furman University

Harris will be joining the Furman Paladins in Greenville, SC, looking to make an impact in the SoCon.
- Mia Kovas – USC Upstate

- Kovas has committed to the USC Upstate Spartans in Spartanburg, SC, where she will compete in the Big South Conference.
Women’s Lacrosse
Carleigh Conroy – Lander University

Conroy is set to join the Lander University Bearcats in Greenwood, SC. She will look to translate her high school success to the collegiate level as she joins the Bearcats’ program.
Volleyball
Leah Okogbenin – UNC Asheville

Crossing the state line, Leah Okogbenin has signed with UNC Asheville. She will be joining the Bulldogs to compete in the Big South Conference.
