The Town of Fort Mill is officially inviting the community to step into the holiday spotlight as applications open for the 78th Annual Fort Mill Christmas Parade. The parade, a cornerstone of the town’s holiday tradition since 1947, is seeking local participation to make this year’s celebration the biggest and brightest yet.
Local groups, schools, churches, and businesses are encouraged to begin planning their festive floats, marching units, and musical performances now to secure a spot in the parade.
The window to apply for the annual procession is open, but organizers stress that space is limited and historically fills up quickly. The final deadline for all entries is Friday, November 7, at 5 p.m.
The parade will once again wind its way through the heart of downtown on Saturday, December 6th starting at 11am. Participants will have the chance to compete for various awards, including Best Christmas Theme, Most Holiday Spirit, and Most Creative.
Interested individuals and organizations can find the official application and all necessary guidelines online. All participants must provide details on their entry, and a review process will follow the November 7 deadline.
