YORK COUNTY, SC: York County is excited to announce the hiring of Lisa Wolf-Chason as Public Information Director. She will lead our growing communications team as York County seeks to strengthen its commitment to sharing vital information and engaging the community.
Wolf-Chason brings a broad range of experience to her new role with York County Government. Since 2019 she’s served as Port Tampa Bay’s Director of Communications where she led public relations, crisis communications, strategic planning, executive communications, social media and media relations efforts. Before joining Port Tampa Bay, Wolf-Chason worked as the Public Information Officer for Pinellas County Schools, and as a Media Relations Specialist with Moffitt Cancer Center, the Southeastern United States top-ranked cancer hospital. She began her career in broadcast journalism as an anchor and reporter at several news stations.
Wolf-Chason holds a Master’s of Arts degree from Arizona State University in Human Communication, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University in Mass Media Studies. She served as an executive board member for the Public Relations Society of America’s Tampa Bay Chapter and was recognized as a Tampa Bay Business Women finalist in 2023.
Wolf-Chason spoke about her new role:

York County Manager Josh Edwards added:

Wolf-Chason and her husband Nate have a four-year-old son, Jack. She enjoys hiking with her dog, Doodle. She will join our York County family on September 29.
