Clover School District (CSD) will kick off the 2025-2026 school year with its annual Back-to-School Bash on Friday, August 1, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Clover Memorial Stadium, located at 300 Clinton Avenue.
The event draws a crowd of nearly 1,000 students and their families each year. The Back-to-School Bash includes booths from various community organizations that offer services to children and families.
Through a partnership of local churches and businesses, students in need of a backpack may receive one stuffed with school supplies. The Greater Things Shoe Ministry will be on hand to measure students for new school shoes, and a team of barbers and beauticians will provide haircuts. Students may also have their vision screened, thanks to the River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club.
Clover School District schools and programs also will have tables with activities and information about the start of the new school year. CSD is slated to open three new schools next year, but the new schools will be participating in this year’s Bash for the first time.
Of course, a Back-to-School Bash wouldn’t be complete without the fun and games. Students can enjoy bounce houses and a DJ, along with food.
