The Fort Mill High School Boys Wrestling team won the Upper State Championship on Wednesday, February 7th, defeating Rock Hill High School with a score of 36-28.
This victory not only showcases their dedication and skill but also sets them up for a shot at the 5A state championship against the Summerville Green Wave on Saturday, February 10th, at Dreher High School in Columbia. Having beaten Summerville last year for the state title, Fort Mill aims to repeat history and secure back-to-back championships.
With a remarkable season record of 23-2 and their second consecutive Upper State title under their belt, Fort Mill is demonstrating their dominance in high school wrestling. Their upcoming match is more than a championship bout; it’s an opportunity to solidify their legacy as formidable competitors in the sport.
