Two Arrested in Lancaster Drug Investigation Following Search Warrant Execution

LANCASTER, SC – Two people were arrested Tuesday, June 17, 2025, following the execution of a search warrant on Country Club Drive by the Lancaster County Multijurisdictional Narcotics Task Force, assisted by the Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and Street Crimes Unit.

The investigation began earlier this month when undercover investigators conducted two controlled purchases of suspected fentanyl from 48-year-old Bobby Joe Sanders Jr. near his residence. These transactions led to arrest warrants and a court-authorized search of the property.

During the early morning operation, authorities located Sanders, 29-year-old Jennifer Marie Haire of Lancaster, and another adult male inside an outbuilding on the property. All three were detained while the search was conducted.

Investigators recovered suspected methamphetamine, suspected pregabalin pills, a smoking pipe, and digital scales.

Sanders was arrested and charged with:

  • Two counts of Distribution of Fentanyl
  • Two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance in Proximity to McDonald Green Elementary School
  • Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Pregabalin
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance in Proximity to McDonald Green Elementary School (related to the search warrant)

His total bond was set at $22,500, which he has not yet posted.

Haire was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and released later that afternoon on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.

Sheriff Barry Faile praised the operation, stating, “This is another problem location our Task Force investigators built a case around. We bought fentanyl from Sanders twice and were able to get arrest warrants for him and a search warrant for the property. This led to the arrest of Sanders and Haire on new charges. All in all, this was a pretty good operation.”

Anyone with information on this case or others is urged to contact the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office or submit an anonymous tip via the P3Tips website or mobile app.

(All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.)
