CHARLOTTE, NC: Travelers looking for an affordable way to reach Florida’s Gulf Coast will soon have a new nonstop flight option from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). Frontier Airlines has announced it will launch direct flights between Charlotte and Tampa International Airport (TPA) starting May 2, 2025.
Initially, flights will operate twice per week, but service will expand to four times per week beginning May 22, 2025. The budget airline aims to provide North Carolina travelers with more cost-effective options for their 2025 plans.
This new route will mean more convenient and ultra-low-cost travel options for North Carolina consumers as they plan their 2025 travel, said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines. As we enter the new year, we are launching the next chapter of The New Frontier, providing consumers even more ways to enjoy the best value in air travel and experience a more seamless and comfortable journey.
With this expansion, Frontier will serve a total of 14 destinations from CLT. To celebrate the launch, the airline is offering special one-way fares as low as $29.
